The Education and Equipping Ministry Team supports Youth Ministry by providing opportunities for youth from Providence Presbytery churches to come together in fellowship, worship and mission. Our events help your youth recognize and appreciate what it means to be a part of a connected body of churches.
	Montreat Middle School Conference Scheduled for July If you have youth that are currently in the 6th, 7th, or 8th grade, we would love to have them join the Providence Presbytery contingency to the Montreat Middle School Conference July 18-22, 2012. The early-bird deadline for applications and a Non-refundable $100 deposit are due January 20th. Please share this information with your middle school youth and encourage them to make this conference part of their summer plans for 2012. Providence Presbytery provides transportation and chaperones for this trip. Click here for more information and applications.
	Looking for a way to teach confirmation to one, two or a few youth? Join our second annual Confirmation Cluster! This class will offer the opportunity for 8th grade (or older) youth at your church to experience the connectional nature of the PC(USA) by meeting monthly with youth from several Providence Presbytery churches for group building, fellowship, and lessons on Presbyterian Polity and Theology using the PCUSA confirmation curriculum, "Professing Our Faith." The youth will delve into their faith at a deeper level by also meeting one-on-one with a confirmation covenant partner from your church between group meetings. This experience will begin with a retreat Jan 20-22, 2012 continue with monthly groups from 3:00 - 5:00 pm Sundays, Feb 12, March 18, and April 15 and culminate with a closing retreat May 4 - 6. All group meetings will be held at Bethelwoods. Confirmands will have written their statement of faith and be ready to meet with your session to discuss what they have learned following the May retreat. There will be an informational meeting for an adult from each participating church at the presbytery office on Thursday, Nov. 10. A registration packet is available. 	Pause on the Path, the 2011 Annual Youth Mission Retreat Celebrated Youth and Service Youth across the presbytery responded to a call to service this weekend when they joined together in ministry at the 2011 Youth Mission Retreat. See the pictures of the great weekend event here.
	Annual Youth Rally: Scheduled annualy in the Fall, the Youth Rally is an opportunity for youth from the 5-county area to come together in fellowship and worship. This well attended event is usually held at Bethelwoods Camp and Conference Center. The event features great music, games and small group opportunities. The 2011 Event is Scheduled for September 25.
	NEW! Youth Worship Events will be held at Bethelwoods Camp and Conference Center...Featuring great music and great messages geared just for youth. These regularly scheduled Worship Events are sure to add PUNCH to your youth program.
