 Who I Am ... I was born and raised in Hartsville, SC. I graduated from Winthrop University, Rock Hill, SC with a B.S. degree in Business Administration with a Concentration in Marketing. I continued my education at Winthrop with an MBA degree. I met my husband Bill at Winthrop. We have one daughter Dani. Our family's life is very fast paced, packed with numerous meetings, school events, National Guard happenings, community service activities, and athletics.
I have worked for Providence Presbytery (formerly Bethel Presbytery) since September 1985. Over the years, I have had the privilege of getting to know many of the people who are Providence Presbytery. I have watched several ministers leave our presbytery, only to return in a few years because they wanted to come home. Providence Presbytery feels like home to me, too. So much so, that after growing up Baptist, becoming Methodist when I married, that in 1996 I became Presbyterian and joined Grace Presbyterian Church, Fort Mill, SC.
What I Do ... As the Business Administrator -- my job has many different facets from overseeing the maintenance of the grounds and building of the presbytery office to producing financial reports. I am actively involved in creating Presbytery handbooks, brochures, and flyers. My job also entails budgeting, financial reporting, payroll, grants, etc. I am currently serving as the campaign coordinator for Providence Presbytery’s Strategic Advisory Committee. I often help ministers with structuring salary packages and assisting them with problems they may have with the Board of Pensions. However, the part of my job that I like most is the constant contact with the lay people and ministers from the different churches. If you have a question, ask Rose.
