The Education and Equipping Ministry Team of Providence Presbytery has money to award scholarships for lay leaders, educators and pastors to attend leader development events.  There is additional money budgeted specifically for church educators.  The EEMT has created a scholarship application for this purpose.  Online application.  Those who volunteer for the church and/or those with little or no continuing education money in their church budgets are especially encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity.  Scholarship money may be requested for individuals or teams from your church to attend an event.

The scholarship committee of EEMT will respond to requests within two (2) weeks of receiving an application for funds.  Persons may apply once within a 12 month period.  All scholarship recipients are requested to provide the EEMT with an evaluation of the conference within 30 days of returning from an event.  They are also asked to share the information in some way with the presbytery.  Some possible ways to meet this requirement would be to lead a workshop, write an article for a presbytery publication, speak at a presbytery meeting, or consult with another church.
