Kathryn McGregor is available to come to your church to meet with your educational leaders, teachers, advisors, etc. She can assist you in evaluating and designing your ministry; training teachers, administrators, youth advisors, etc.; offer suggestions for new programs; and teach short-term studies. There is no charge for her services.

Edye Bender and Kathryn McGregor are Providence Presbytery’s POINT PEOPLE. Edye is a Certified Director of Christian Educator and Kathryn is pursuing certfication. Each year they are updated on the curriculum offerings. They will come to your church and help you select the most appropriate curriculum for your ministry. You are asked to reimburse mileage at $0.445 per mile. Contact Kathryn McGregor  to arrange a visit.

The Education and Equipping Ministry Team has established a Leadership Scholarship for those wishing to further their training in the area of Christian Education. Scholarship recipients are asked to share the knowledge gained at training events with others in the presbytery in some way. Kathryn McGregor is available to show you the many educational resources in the Resource Center and help you select the ones best suited for your congregation. She will make an appointment for meeting you at other times, if it is more convenient. She is also available to come to your church at no charge.

Synod of South Atlantic Audio Visual Regional Resource Center provides audio/visual resources for a small fee. Churches in Providence Presbytery with under 100 members can get resources free.

The Education Division offers a number of Christian Education training opportunities each year. The E3 Event and a curriculum preview are offered in January.  In March the Leader of Leader Event offers in depth training in such areas as youth ministry, children’s ministry, adult ministry, etc. The Metrolina Educator Connection offers Christian Education skills training each spring and fall.
