Who I Am ... I am a native of Rock Hill, South Carolina. I was baptized at Boyd Hill Baptist Church when I was 8 years old. I joined Hermon Presbyterian Church in 2000 and have been actively involved with Providence Presbytery since then. I am the former Clerk of Session at Hermon, and I have served the Presbytery as a member of the Mission Discernment Task Force, and as a Commissioner to Synod. I have been a Sunday School teacher and Sunday School Superintendent much of my adult life.
I received my undergraduate degree in English and my Master of Arts in Teaching from Winthrop University. After teaching high school and college English for twelve years, I was admitted to North Carolina Central University School of Law in Durham, NC. I received my Juris Doctorate in May 1987. I have practiced law since 1988. I presently serve as Assistant General Counsel for the South Carolina Department of Social Services. I am also a Certified Family Court Mediator.
I am a published poet, and I enjoy reading, travel and listening to music. I am single and blessed with a loving extended family, and many long time friends.
I look forward to working with you. You can reach me at the Presbytery Office or by
EMail.
