Oakland Avenue Presbyterian Church serves as the anchoring congregation for the Presbyterian Campus Ministry at Winthrop University helping to provide the student ministry with additional opportunities for worship, fellowship, and programming.

• Many campus ministries have realized that they have missed opportunities by not being associated with a local congregation. For that reason, Oakland Avenue Presbyterian Church serves as the anchoring congregation.
• College Feedback is the Presbyterian Student Center's weekly meal and fellowship time with students who attend 11:00 AM worship at Oakland Avenue Presbyterian Church. It proves to be an excellent way for students to meet and begin new relationships.
  • Church members provide home cooked meals;
  • Other members provide hospitality and weekly email support.
  
  
• FLIGHT (which stands for Finding Life in God's House Today) meets on Sunday nights. It includes a lesson, discussion, prayer, and occasionally a game or object lesson.
• Other programs and activities include:
  • Retreats
  • Worship leadership at Second Sunday at the Center
  • Mission projects
  • Intramural volleyball
  • Alternative Spring Break
  • Weekly Bible study
  • College Conference at Montreat
